My client’s mechanical team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in HVAC & plumbing for healthcare projects. Someone capable of completing the projects from start to finish, with a demonstrated expertise. Be driven to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges as well as accompanying the clients through the design process.

Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review plumbing and HVAC schematics
• Prepare or supervise the design of the building services for healthcare projects.
• Perform and review heating and cooling ventilation calculations
• Work with the project team from the conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to the completion. Mentor younger engineers and production staff.
• Ensure compliance with the quality assurance and control program
• Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships

Requirements:

• 6+ years of directly related experience in mechanical buildings engineering of HVAC, plumbing & fire is an asset.
• A registered P.Eng. with EGBC, or ability to be is an asset.
• Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrate a commitment to client service
• Knowledge and experience with Canadian codes and standards
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and commercial HVAC load calculation software
• A valid BC driver's license
