Electrical Engineer Building Services
My client is a fully integrated mechanical and electrical consulting engineering services company.

Education: Electrical Engineering Degree
Responsibilities:
• Comprehensive understanding of power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, and single
• phase and three phase systems in Canada.
• Ability to size equipment, overcurrent protection, etc.
• Deep knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, and life safety systems and their application
• Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and other applicable codes such as BCBC, VBBL, ASHRAE 90.1.
• Ability to design single-line diagrams, load calculations and fault level calculations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fire alarm systems and their integration with electrical design, and communication and security system design.
• Fluent in AutoCAD and/or Revit and lighting design software.
• Prepare construction documentation such as CCNs, Sis, shop drawing reviews and ancillary sketches items for medium complex projects.
• Completes detailed field reviews and reports.
Requirements:
• 5+ years relevant work experience in commercial building services
• Ability to register with EGBC as a PEng
• Require experience and understanding of Lighting, Data Communications and Security systems
• Willing to be the EOR on projects of straight forward to medium complexity
• Willingness and interest to complete design work and project management duties
• Strong understanding of engineering contractors, suppliers and manufacturers
• Mechanical and Electrical coordination experience
