Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar

Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical engineering projects
• Analyze customer design proposals and specifications
• Ensure professional quality services in all facets of work
• Ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables
• Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle
• Work with clients to deliver the end project - asset
• Provide mentoring to technical staff
• Provide quality and cost control during the design and construction process
• Maintain project schedules and project cost summaries

 
Requirements:

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in commercial building services
• Ability to register with EGBC as a PEng
• Require experience and understanding of HVAC/Plumbing design - thermodynamics, heating/cooling calculations, pump/piping systems theory, psychrometric charts, and acoustics.
• Experience and knowledge of applicable codes such as BCBC, VBBL, NBCC, ASHRAE, NFPA ASPE, and CSA
• Strong understanding of engineering contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers
• Mechanical and Electrical coordination experience
• Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
• Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff
• Leadership experience
