Job Description

My client is looking for a Revit Architectural Technician – Specialty BIM Management. Someone to manage day-to-day BIM applications. (mainly REVIT but it can also include other software such as Autodesk Construction Cloud). As well as split their time with the technical production work, REVIT modelling, working out details, researching materials, building code requirements, etc. This position will be joining the core management team for the firm, and is about the creation & refining of current BIM standards, and managing those standards in each of the company’s projects.


⇒ Part will be managing REVIT and Drafting standards, and the other part will be an Architectural Technologist position.

 
Responsibilities:


• Manage Revit and drafting standards; the first person in this role
• Managing Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Develop and prepare technical architectural drawings and specifications
• Produce, organize, and distribute all drawing packages and documents including development permits, building permits issued for construction set
• Assist the senior management team in project phases
• Lead the development and production of architectural designs, drawings and specifications for various projects
• Overseeing group work plans, monitoring workflow, QAQC and ensuring deliverables meet the organization’s standards with the client’s schedule
• Ensure that the firm is informed of any trends, events or emerging technology of significance to the firm’s success
 
Requirements:


• Eligible to be registered with the AIBC program
• Enthusiastic and interested in BIM technology and process
• Previous experience working in an office setting
• Strong Adobe skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• 5 years + of proficient experience in Revit (architecture)
• Full understanding of the BC Building Code
• Good work ethic and enthusiasm for working as a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to accept direction; flexible, adaptable, and have a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license
