Electrical Construction Administrator – Building Services Design

Education: Educational or trade background in electrical design ie. building services 


Responsibilities:


• Travel to site & perform inspections on power, lighting, data communications and security systems installations
• Serve as main point of contact for the builder for any project-related questions/requests
• Understand project specifications/ objectives and proactively identify potential issues.
• Respond to field issues & questions with engineering & other resources as required
• Investigate claims promptly and resolve them fairly
• Liaise with Architect, Client, Contractor, Owner, Specialty Consultants, Project Manager, Job Captain, Project Engineer and Engineer of Record
• Complete time critical reports including Request for Information, Contemplated Revision, Change Orders, Field Review, Pricing Review, Progress Claim Review
• Issue & sign off on Site Deficiency Reports, verify/accept Record Drawings & Operational/Maintenance Manuals & ensure all required information has been received
• Provide customer service levels that meet or exceed customers' expectations
• Actively work on multiple projects simultaneously, attending monthly site meetings. Requirements:
• Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role, with experience in building inspection
• Have a good working knowledge of current construction practices, including drawing production and construction inspections, as well as specifications, contracts and consultant agreements.
• Experience and knowledge of power, lighting, data communications and security systems
• Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
• Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email applications, AutoCAD - asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible, team and client-focused
